Nutritional Counseling:

We are what we eat, from our head to our feet.

Meal plans are developed at assessment of fitness and evaluated through training.  I study and constantly research nutrition to enhance my services, not my fees, therefore NC is a complementary and not a separate serivce.

Eat three healthy meals a day and snack healthy between them, Do Not skip meals!!! or your body will cannibalize its lean muscle tissue rather than burning fat, that's why diets fail us.  Your eating habits don't have to be a four letter word, instead they can be a way of life.

Dieting and starvation are major factors in obesity.  The answer is balance, exercise, and rest.  Preoccupation with body shape, size, and weight creates an unhealthy lifestyle of emotional and physical deprivation.  We experience feelings of deprivation, then binge, and finally terminate our "health" program.  This in turn leads to guilt, defeat, weight gain, low self-esteem, and then we're back to the beginning of the yo-yo diet cycle.

With each time of the cycle, it will take longer to loose the weight, and conversely, less time to regain it.  Typically more weight is regained than was lost, and the regained weight is higher in fat in proportion to the weight that was lost earlier.  The attitudes and practices acquired through years of dieting are likely to result in a body weight and size obsession.  People who try to live by diet lists and rules learn little or nothing about proper nutrition and how to enjoy their meals, physical activity, and a healthy lifestyle.  The only way we can alter this process is by eating healthy, exercising, and sleeping enough.
